²⁶ And in that they said to ^(A)leave the stump ^[a]with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will endure for you after you know that it is ^(B)Heaven that rules with power. ²⁷ Therefore, O king, may my ^(C)advice seem good to you: ^[b](D)break away now from your sins by doing righteousness and from your iniquities by ^(E)showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a ^(F)prolonging of your prosperity.’
